Airtasker is a task marketplace: people post jobs they need done, skilled workers bid and get hired, work gets done, payment is released. It’s a peer-to-peer service marketplace model that Tradly supports out of the box — no custom development required.
How the Airtasker model works
The Airtasker marketplace model has two flows:
Poster-led (task posting):
- A person posts a task (“move a sofa”, “fix a leaky tap”, “design a logo”) with their budget
- Taskers (service providers) browse open tasks and submit offers or bids
- The poster reviews profiles, ratings, and bids, then selects a tasker
- Payment is held in escrow; released when the task is marked complete
Tasker-led (service listing):
- A skilled person lists their service with a fixed price or hourly rate
- Clients browse services, view profiles and reviews, and book directly
- Payment at booking; released to tasker on completion
Tradly supports both flows. You configure which model fits your market — or run both simultaneously.

- Dual-sided accounts — any user can post tasks (demand) or offer services (supply). No separate app for each side.

- In-platform messaging — tasker and poster negotiate, clarify scope, and confirm details without leaving the platform

- Platform commission — take a % of each completed transaction, configurable by category. Docs: Commission
- Ratings — both ways — posters rate taskers and taskers rate posters after completion
- Dispute management — admin tools to review contested completions and manage refunds
- Mobile apps — iOS and Android white-label apps. Task marketplaces are mobile-first.
